The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton
Under the loving care of professional and volunteer teachers,
we help children and families learn together in a liberal religious community by:

* Encouraging children to develop a strong moral and ethical foundation;

* Teaching about the unique spirit of Unitarian Universalism, its roots and relevance;

* Creating opportunities to practice joy with fun family events!

We envision children and youth who:

Know they are lovable beings of infinite worth, imbued with powers of the soul and obligated to use their gifts, talents and potentials in the service of life;

Affirm that they are part of a Unitarian Universalist religious heritage and community of faith that has value and provides resources for living;

Accept that they are responsible for the stewardship and creative transformation of their religious heritage and community of faith;

Realize that they are moral agents, capable of making a difference in the lives of others: socially, ecologically and politically

Recognize the need for community, families, relationships and connections;

Appreciate the value of spiritual practice as a means of deepening faith and integrating beliefs and values with everyday life;

Experience hope, joy, mystery and healing and personal transformation in the midst of life's challenges.
Curriculum Education
Our program includes instruction in areas such as UU principles, world religions, ethical behavior and compassionate communication. Lessons incorporate arts, crafts, music, drama, discussion and other means of engaging different learning styles. Each class spans approximately three grade levels.
Nursery
Loving and engaging childcare is available for infants and toddlers during the 10:30 service.
Children’s Chapel
Children participate in their own special service where they worship through songs and sharing, and practice right relations, reverence and expression of their Unitarian Universalist beliefs.
Social Action
Here we encourage creative initiative aimed at improving our world. Children and their families support charities or issues they choose, for example raising funds for local food banks, making sandwiches for the hungry, and trick-or-treating for UNICEF.
Regular Worship Services
The first part of our regular 10:30 services includes age-appropriate worship for children. Children join the fellowship in the Sanctuary and then are “sung out” to Children’s Chapel or their religious education classes.
