Terrific Tuesday Basics
At Terrific Tuesdays we gather for sustenance of mind, body and soul. During October, November, February, March and April, a variety of 4 week courses will be offered. Most classes cost $5.00, although some have an added materials cost.
Afternoon classes begin at 4 o'clock. Dinner is served every Tuesday night, and the evening sessions begin with Gadding About, a time for meditation and conversation.
Schedule
Afternoon Classes: 4:00 to 5:15 pm
Dinner: 5:15 to 6:15 pm
An optional meal - pay only when you partake - is provided at a cost of $6.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12.
Gadding About/Meditation 6:15 to 6:45 pm
Our ancestors, formed the free church tradition by gadding about. They met "in a spirit of love" for "edifying disputes" where each had a voice. In this time of meditation, we speak among ourselves about the values and hopes at the core of our liberal tradition.
Evening Classes: Intergenerational classes 6:15 to 7:30 pm
Adults only 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Childcare
Childcare is provided ~ at no cost~ from 4:00 to 8:30 pm. On the sign-up form, please indicate whether you will need Childcare (and for how many), so that we can plan ahead and coordinate with caregivers.
Signing Up for Classes
To enroll use the Sign-Up Sheet. Complete it and send it with your check (payable to UUFBR - Terrific Tuesdays), for each class/per-person, to the UUFBR office. Please note that the class fee is required even if you attend only one class session.
Please sign up as soon as possible because:
Classes with very few sign-ups may be cancelled.
A correct number of course materials can be prepared , and the right number of books, if needed can be ordered, if we know ahead the number of attendees.
Signing up early allows a better estimate of the number of people who will attend dinner. You don't have to attend dinner, of course! But it is a good time to chat with old friends and new acquaintances.
Note: The dinner fee per adult/child is collected at dinner time only if you plan to stay for dinner. So, please do not send money for dinner in with the sign-up form.
