A 4 week watch-a-thon and discussion of the BBC's production of Middlemarch, George Eliot's novel of ethical dilemmas in a town on the verge of great changes.
Is Anybody Out There? Does it Matter? with Maddi Gutfreind
It is possible to have a deep and meaningful prayer life even if you ae unsure if anyone is listening. Explore how naming, listening, knowing and loving can become a modern spiritual practice. Experience the joy and healing that prayer can bring us. We will be using the book "Simply Pray" by Eric Walker.
Science Fiction Theology, with Rev. Harris Riordan
Get yourself a copy of Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card. Set aside some time to read - it's homework after all! Then join a conversation on compassion, good and evil, aggression, reparation, diversity and even God. Theology was never so fun!
Dinner on the Grill at 5:00pm
Burgers, Boca burgers, hot dogs, salads, fruit and brownies (if you want steak or tofu, bring it along) . $6 for adults, $2 for children under 12
Gadding About/Meditation
Our ancestors, in the free church tradition, built their faith by "gadding about." They met "in a spirit of love" for "edifying disputes" where each person present had a voice.
Childcare at no cost from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Please indicate on the sign-up form if you will need childcare, and for how many, so that we can plan ahead and coordinate with caregivers.

Brochures available in Osias Hall on Sunday mornings or call the UUFBR office at 561-482-2001. All courses are $10.00.
Please sign up as soon as possible because classes with too few participants may be cancelled.
The correct number of course materials can be prepared if we know ahead the number of attendees.
We can better estimate the number of people who will attend dinner.
