👂Listening Sessions 🦻 for Annual Congregational Meeting
Session I: 🛐🎶 Worship, Music, and Membership
Sunday, February 22, 2026
12:15 PM – 1:30 PM
Session II: 💒💵 Facilities and Finance
Sunday, March 1, 2026
9:15 AM – 10:00 AM
Our Annual Congregational Meeting is Sunday, March 8, 2026, when volunteers are elected to leadership positions, and the congregation votes to approve the budget for the fiscal year.
☑️ The next few weeks leading up to it are a time to practice our UU values of pluralism and principles of the democratic process.
🗓️ Please mark your calendars and show up with your questions, ideas, hopes, and concerns in a supportive space of a listening session. Especially helpful if you have questions about the budget.
📊 We know the budget process can seem opaque. To demystify the process, Howard Prentice, UUFBR’s Treasurer, has planned these two face-to-face Congregational Conversations. One, after worship on Sunday, February 22, and the other before worship on Sunday, March 1. All are welcome to attend the meetings. Leaders from the programs with the largest proposed budgets will be there to answer your specific questions about their plans and the associated costs. (You are also welcome to reach out to Howard at any time.)
🗳️ These listening sessions can help clarify your concerns and comments so discussion and decision-making at the Annual Meeting go smoothly.
Because we took the time earlier for listening and learning with love at the center ❤️
