“Who Are You?”
with Rev, Jack Copas
Rev. Jack is wondering “Who Are You?” The Unitarian Universalists as a denomination is not as well-known as other denominations. That is partly because Unitarian Universalists do not actually worship a deity. Some UUs call themselves a “Fellowship” rather than a “church.” The basis of our religious faith lies in the concept of “inclusivity”. and “deeds without creeds.” Literally all persons of every aspect of life are welcome.
UUs are action-oriented believers in their human spirit in today’s world. Three characteristics guiding UUs historically and in our present time are: 1. members are a free people, 2. a gifted people, and 3. a responsible people. UUs come to ministry from a posture of liberation. They operate congregationally and maintain a distinct advocacy of restorative justice concerns
