“Blessing of the Animals”

with Rev. Nicole Jacobson

Spiritual traditions across the ages have taught that animals are not here merely for our use, but are beings who deserve love, honor, and respect. They are our companions, our kin, and our fellow travelers in the great web of life. We are called to protect them, to ease their suffering, and to recognize the sacredness of their presence. And when we open our hearts to those we believed we were rescuing, a strange turn of events occurs: we discover that we are the ones who have been rescued. Today we bless the animals who bless our lives, and we recommit ourselves to compassion, protection, and love for all beings.
We Believe in the Inherent Worth and Dignity of Every Being! Bring your companions of every kind: living, cuddly, and captured in photographs.
