Share the Plate
The Share-The-Plate program also raises awareness of volunteer work done by so many of our members who suggest these worthy organizations. Over these several years, UUFBR has given thousands of dollars to groups working outside our walls!
All recipients of this program are non-profits suggested by UUFBR members; often these are active participants with the particular organization.
As a UUFBR member, if you would like to suggest an organization to be a recipient of Share-The-Plate contributions, please click on the following link Share-The-Plate Suggestion Form (PDF) form that can be printed, completed, and returned to the UUFBR office.

Tomorrow's Rainbow
🌈 Tomorrow’s Rainbow provides free grief support groups for children ages 3 years old through high school and their caregivers.
Since 2005, Tomorrow’s Rainbow has provided a unique alternative to indoor mental health services by offering no-cost bereavement support groups and trauma-focused Eagala Model equine-assisted psychotherapy for children, teens, and their families. Our mini ranch serves as an emotionally safe and nurturing environment where horses, big and small, foster hope and healing.
The loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult life events a child can face. Even more challenging is the impact trauma has on the brains and bodies of children. Tomorrow’s Rainbow is a special place for children, teens, and families who have experienced the death of a loved one and/or trauma. By incorporating horse interactions with therapeutic play, facilitated peer support groups, and individual therapy, our clients master the tools necessary to take their personal journey in a meaningful way.
The mission of Tomorrow’s Rainbow is to create a community where grieving and traumatized children can connect, find comfort, and develop healthy coping mechanisms to navigate their loss and trauma, ultimately emerging resilient. At Tomorrow’s Rainbow, children feel, often for the first time, understood.
EMA - Emergency Medical Assistance

EMA was founded in 1975 and is today the only abortion fund in Palm Beach County that assists people financially with pregnancy termination. EMA feels very strongly that every person should have access to safe, legal abortion care and that this access should not depend on someone’s zip code or bank account. EMA is primarily dependent upon donations from individuals such as you to accomplish our mission.
On May 18th after the Sunday service, a speaker from EMA will give a talk here at UUFBR, with a time for us to ask questions afterwards. Please save the date to find out what is currently happening under Florida’s 6 week abortion ban, for those with both wanted and unwanted pregnancies. If we can reach our goal of $1,000 for EMA by the end of May, or sooner, our donation will be matched!

Sunflower Creative Arts
Sunflower’s mission is to empower children and families to be confident, creative and compassionate through play, nature and the arts…and Sunflower began here at UUFBR! It is one of several nonprofits that found their first home with us. Supporting outside organizations was an intentional ministry of our Fellowship from our beginnings in the 1960s. Those early UUFBR folks worked to help found the Florence Fuller Child Development Center, and also set up a tutoring program in UUFBR’s first building on Palmetto Park Road in East Boca. While the Fellowship moved to our present location in the 80’s, our buildings are still used regularly by several groups, and Sunflower was one of them for 22 years. Eventually Sunflower outgrew us and needed a home of their own so they could be a model learning center and launch more programs in the broader community. https://sunflowercreativearts.org/
I Can Living and Learning Center

Sierra Club Inspiring Connections Outdoors

Sierra Club Inspiring Connections Outdoors
We host a number of nature-focused overnight and day outing trips for youth living in underserved, low-income neighborhoods. These children often have limited opportunities to travel away from their urban neighborhoods to explore Florida’s wetlands, uplands, rivers, and wild beaches. By way of these trips, the children will learn about nature, take in Florida’s natural beauty, develop outdoor leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills while taking an active role in protecting the environment.
