Edith, who lives in Memphis, TN with her daughter, will be combining onsite and remote ministry on a ¾-time basis for UUFBR. She is also the quarter-time Pastor for the UU Congregation in Tupelo, Mississippi. Please give her a warm UUFBR welcome – and if you’re interested in helping plan our formal installation and welcome brunch later in February, please let the co-presidents Rajeev and Claire know ASAP. Spiritual

Sign up for The Spiral of Becoming

The Spiral of Becoming

A Journey of Presence, Transformation, and Shared Becoming

In a world that rushes toward certainty, The Spiral of Becoming offers something different:
A sacred invitation to slow down, to spiral inward and outward, and to remember that we are not alone on the path of transformation.

This seven-session guided experience is rooted in Unitarian Universalist values and open to all spiritual seekers. Whether you are new to UU, exploring what belonging means, or looking to deepen your faith through ritual, reflection, and embodied practice—this is your invitation.

What We Explore

Each week centers on a “Thread of Becoming,” guiding us through presence, choice, memory, pause, embodiment, uncertainty, and transformation.

Together, we ask:

  • What does it mean to show up—fully, honestly, and with care?
  • How do we shape our lives and communities through consent and collaboration?
  • What stories do we carry—and which ones are we ready to release?
  • How can spiritual practice support justice, resilience, and wholeness?

What to Expect

Each session includes:

  • Embodied grounding practices (no yoga experience required)
  • Collaborative storytelling and gentle reflection
  • Rituals to connect body, breath, and belief
  • A Justice Weaving Companion to guide action and accountability in the world

This is not a discussion group.
This is not a class.
This is a spiritual container—a Spiral we walk together.

How to Join

The next Spiral cohort will begin soon.
To express interest or ask questions, contact Ron Roth Jr using the form below:

Healing Justice

Healing Justice Blog[/button] Healing Justice is a small group that works together to counter racism wherever it occurs. We recognize that racism is complex and exists at all levels, from individual to societal. Action taken recently includes education for our own congregation about why we are considering incorporating a proposed 8th Principle. More direct recent action includes supporting UU the Vote as a precursor to upending structural racism in our nation. Healing Justice meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except for November 2024, when it will meet on November 19th.
