with Latifa Woodhouse

Latifa Woodhouse has been a Unitarian Universalist for 27 years. She was born in Afghanistan and raised in the Islamic faith. Her father was an Imam. Latifa says, “Thankfully, my father was progressive and therefore I grew up more worldly than most young Afghani women.” Latifa came to the U.S. on a Fulbright Scholarship and has resided here since. She and her husband are members of the Shelter Rock UU Congregation in Long Island. They split their time between Long Island and North Palm Beach.
